We have never been so dependent on the internet for communication and zoom sessions, learning platforms, and e-commerce. The pandemic accelerated this digital transformation. Simultaneously, it painfully exposed the digital divide: almost half of the world population does not have access to the worldwide web. Especially in the Global South, there is work to be done. Sub-Saharan Africa is lagging far behind.
Language is one of the most important subjects in all kinds of education since people need to comprehend what they listen to or read as well as be capable of expressing themselves. The main objective of this lesson is to use digital stories so that learners improve their language skills by learning specific vocabulary related to some topics, and practicing reading, listening, and written comprehension.
